Burnley Fair

Circa 1905. The annual fair was originally for the sale of goods and animals, but eventually only the pleasure fair with its roundabouts, swings and booths remained. It was held early in July during the town’s holiday week on the cattle market, where the magistrates’ court and police station stand today.
